The world's growing reliance on electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, and computer accessories, along with the persistent introduction of newly designed products to the market has resulted in an e-waste problem that is getting worse every year. Electronic trash is a secondary source of valuable and pretentious metal. If we notice, the urban mining of such metals is gaining remarkable recognition due to its economic possibilities, expanded commercial opportunity, source of livelihood, and ultimate achievement of the Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. At the same time, due to the presence of dangerous chemical components, large amounts of E-waste prove to be an insurmountable task. With its negative effects on human health and the environment, the massive E-waste output has generated multi-dimensional hurdles over present treatment methods. The key issues influencing the entire E-waste value chain in India include a lack of data inventorization, unlawful disposal, and a lack of treatment choices. As a result, this study focuses on strategic interventions that are compliant with existing legislation and are necessary for a long-term E-waste value chain, secure resources, social well-being, reduced environmental consequences, and overall sustainable development. Apart from these, different methods for recycling e-waste are incorporated to maintain the integrity of the environment.
