This study highlights new regulatory and conductive properties of the as yet poorly molecularly defined 70-pS K + channel in the apical membrane of the thick ascending limb of Henle’s loop cells of the mouse kidney that functionally identify it as a large-conductance, Na + - and Cl – -activated K Na 1.1-like channel.
