Real-Time Bidding Strategy for Electric Vehicles and Wind Power Participation in the Energy and Frequency Regulation Market

Aiming at the problem of uncertainty of electric vehicles (EV) and wind power (WP) in the real-time market leads to the deviation of their output from the day-ahead plan, this paper proposes a power-capacity deviation assessment mechanism to establish a real-time bidding model for the participation of EV and WP in the energy and frequency regulation (FR) market. First, based on the proposed EV classification aggregation method, a fast EV power allocation model is established to ensure timely decision making of electric vehicle aggregator (EVA) in the real-time market. Secondly, a power-capacity deviation assessment penalty is introduced to propose a strategy for EV and WP to participate in the real-time energy- frequency regulation market bidding. Finally, the impact of deviation assessment on EV and WP is compared and analyzed by arithmetic examples, and it is verified that the proposed strategy can meet the charging demand of each EV during the grid period, while ensuring the optimal revenue of EV and WP.
