Elevation of H3K27me3 level contributes to the radioresistance of nasopharyngeal carcinoma by inhibiting OAS1 expression

Our findings revealed for the first time that the increase of H3K27me3 level was associated with the decrease of OAS1 expression, leading to the inhibition of apoptosis and ultimately contributing to the radioresistance of NPC cells. Moreover, we demonstrated that the histone methyltransferase inhibitor GSK126 could be a promising therapeutic strategy for NPC by overcoming radioresistance, providing valuable insights into the clinical treatment of NPC.
