Diffusion enhancement in bacterial cytoplasm through an active random force

A coarse-grained model of bacterial cytoplasm is proposed to explain the size-dependent diffusion enhancement observed in bacteria. It is found that an active force of 0.57 pN with random orientation can quantitatively reproduce the experimental data.
