Progress in the Treatment of Motor Neurone Disease with Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Motor neurone disease (MND) is commonly referred to as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is characterized by progressive muscle weakness and muscle atrophy. At present, Western medicine has limited effective treatment measures for motor neurone disease. A large number of clinical trials have proved that TCM has achieved obvious curative effect in the treatment of MND through dialectical treatment, which can alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients to a certain extent. Therefore, this paper further discusses the progress of TCM and western medicine in the treatment of MND.
