A dimerized plasmonic grating with electro-optic polymer is proposed and demonstrated experimentally for high-speed surface-normal modulator applications. Due to the symmetry breaking provided bv dimerization. stable high-Q resonance is obtained from 1300 to 1600-nm wavelength.
