In 2D core/shell V 2 O 3 /VN nanomeshes with a gradient nitride-layer thickness, the V 2 O 3 core can tune the d-band structure of the VN shell, strengthen the interaction between N 2 and the active site, and thus enhance electrochemical NRR performance.
