Abstract Die kürzlich fur das Eleutherol aufgestellte Formel I liess sich durch Abbau zum 1, s‐Dimethoxynaphtalin und zu β‐Methylnaphtalin bestätigen. Das asymmetrische Kohlenstoffatom besitzt L(+)‐Konfiguration, da aus Eleutherol durch Ozonisierung L( +)‐Milchsäure entstand.
