Data is an important foundation of scientific progress.It allows us to contrast hypotheses with observational evidence.Sharing and providing data openly have a long tradition in paleoenvironmental research, supported by repositories such as WDS-Paleo 1 , PANGAEA 2 ,and Neotoma.
