Hence, our findings demonstrate that rational engineering of therapeutic nanomedicine is a promising approach for effective and safe delivery of antitumor chemotherapeutics, especially to rescue drug candidates that have failed in clinical trials owing to poor PK properties or severe toxicity in patients.
