Development of a Measurement and Control System for a Rollator Equipped with a Motor-driven Chest Pad

In order to assist the elderly who can’t walk independently, a novel rollator equipped with a motor-driven Chest Pad was developed in the previous study. In this paper, configuration of a measurement and control system for the novel rollator was conducted. Codeless power supply was also attempted to solve the problem of complicated wiring system with multiple sensors and motor driving. Walk tests were made to demonstrate the effectiveness the system.
