Significance We characterized the heterogeneity of human TFH cells at a cellular, molecular, functional, and positional level and revealed possible mechanistic links between relevant determinants of this heterogeneity. Linking the topology with specific molecular profile and function is a key aspect in the understanding of the role of particular TFH cell subsets in the pathogenesis of relevant diseases and the delivery of optimal help to GC B cells for the development of potent neutralizing antibodies.
