RF-Induced Heating of Spinal Cord Stimulator under Different Implantations and Body Loading Orientations

This paper presents an analysis of RF-induced heating for spinal cord stimulators (SCS) under different implantation procedures. Eight different SCS models were used to evaluate the temperature rises. 16464 temperature rise (ΔT) samples are calculated and analyzed against variations of landmark positions and implantation locations. Results show that implantations can have a significant effect on the RF-induced heating.
