Study on the surgical complications and influence factors of 110 patients with orbital tumor

Objective To analyze the surgical complications and influence factors of patients with orbital tumor. Methods From Oct. 2006 to Nov. 2016, the clinical data of 110 eyes of 110 patients with orbital tumor were analyzed retrospectively, they were treated with surgery. The surgical complications were summarized and the influence factors were analyzed. Results Surgical complications occurred in 27 cases, the occurrence rate was 24.5%. The complication included eye movement disorders, ptosis, impaired vision, retrobulbar hemorrhage and mydriasis. The occurrence of complication was influenced by tumor site, tumor nature, involved area and surgical approach (P<0.05). Conclusion Understanding the surgical complications and influence factors of patients with orbital tumor can help to take effective measures to prevent the occurrence of surgical complications.
