This work reports a nano-optical imaging study of the transverse-electric exciton polaritons in atomically thin WSe${}_{2}$ nanoflakes by using a scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscope excited by an $s$-polarized laser. These exciton polaritons demonstrate the signature back-bending polariton dispersion, a long propagation length, and a tailored polariton wavelength by controlling the thickness of WSe${}_{2}$. The discovery of long-propagating exciton polaritons in WSe${}_{2}$ atomic layers paves the way for the future development of actively tunable polaritonic devices in the near-infrared region.
