Electricity Information Collection System based on WDM-RoF-PON

In recent years, with the rapid development of smart grid and wide application of smart terminals, electricity information collection network has been gradually improved, which promotes the interaction between power grid and users. The improvement of intelligence and interaction ability of power grid will make the amount of power data grow rapidly, which puts forward higher requirements for electricity information collection. The current electricity information collection system normally adopts narrowband carrier, micro-power wireless, broadband carrier, etc. as the local communication mode, and adopts 230MHz private network and GPRS/CDMA public network as the remote communication mode. However, it is difficult to satisfy the requirement of large amount of data security, fast transmission speed and flexible network upgrade. Due to optical fiber communication exhibiting large capacity, strong anti-electromagnetic interference ability and flexible configuration with wireless communication, this paper proposes an electricity information collection system by optical fiber wireless convergence based on WDM-RoF-PON. It can realize flexible networking of metering equipment, safe, reliable and high-speed data acquisition and transmission, and completes fault monitoring of power lines as well.
