CHOICE- cochlear implant home care, is the world’s first telemedicine care pathway for people with all cochlear implant devices. Its unique features are the scope and nature of the remote care, co-design of the innovation with patients and clinicians, and the independent evaluation at eight UK centres.<br/> <br/>This presentation will provide an overview of the management of the rollout of CHOICE across the UK. We will provide a high-level summary of: <br/>1)The regulatory and information technology challenges encountered in introducing a healthcare app to the NHS<br/>2)How to set up an independent evaluation of behaviour change of patients and clinicians<br/>3)Managing a quality improvement programme to enact change within the healthcare system<br/>4)The importance of and challenges surrounding the engagement of stakeholders from academia; NHS clinics, trusts and R and D; the patient community; charities; government; and industry<br/>5)Long term sustainability of CHOICE and a look to the future
