Analysis and Design of Wireless Network for Distribution Automation System Using TD-LTE in China

Communication is an essential part of distribution automation system (DAS), without it, the data collection and transmission will not achieve. This paper first describes the structure of DAS, and the communication requirements of DAS are given. Then, Based on the TD-LTE, this paper proposes a wireless network for DAS in Xinjiang, and the spectrum selection of TD-LTE is also described. At last, the network is applied in Xinjiang province. The results show that, the TD-LTE network can meet the communication requirements of DAS.
