Robust H<inf>∞</inf> control for tanker station-keeping with mass and inertia variation

This paper focuses on the problem of robust H∞control for tanker station-keeping in boom and receptacle refueling with mass and inertia variation. A novel robust state feedback controller is derived for this problem by using the Lyapunov method. Linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are adopted to establish the sufficient condition for the existence of the proposed controller; then the controller can be achieved by the variable substitution method. Effectiveness of the presented control design method is illustrated by the simulation results.
