EIMFS is clinically characterized by early onset, which is usually within 3 months after birth, migrating focal seizures, psychomotor delay, bad response to AED and high death rate. The interictal EEG showed multi-focal discharges, while ictal EEG shows migrating multifocal discharges. Genetic analysis can assist in diagnosis and genetic counseling.
