Analysis of alkaloids in Evodia rutaecarpa from different habitats by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry

A liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization (ESI) tandem mass spectrometry was used to separate and identify five alkaloids in Evodia rutaecarpa. The type and content of alkaloids in Evodia rutaecarpa from nine different habitats were analysed and compared. The quantitations of rutaecarpine in Evodia rutaecarpa from nine different habitats were also performed by high performance liquid chromatography. The method is simple, quick and sensitive, the result is satisfactary.
