clinical significance of variation of plasma endothelin and cholesterol levels in angicardiography

Objective:To evaluate the clinical singnificance of the variation of the plasma endothelin (ET) and cholesterol (TC) levels on the cardiovascular disease.Method:We determined the peripheral blood ET and TC levels by using radio_immunoassay and enzyme linked immunoassay in 34 healthy persons (control group),34 patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI group),43 with unstable angina pectoris(UAP group),25 with hypertension(HT group) and 21 with congestive heart failure(CHF group).Result:The plasma ET levels in the three groups of AMI,HT,and CHF are much higher than tat in the control group(P0.01),The plasma TC levels in the three groups of AMI,HT,and UAP are much higher than that in the control group (P0.01).Conclusion:The plasma ET density has a close relationship with the physiopathologic pro_gress of AMI and CHF.The plasma TC density has a close relationship with the physiopathologic progress of HT and UAP.
