Effect of NaCl stress on seed germination and seedling growth of Phaseolas coccineus L.

Effect of NaCl stress on seed germination and seedling growth of Phaseolas coccineus L.was studied in this paper. The results showed that the germination rate, germination index of the seeds etc. treated with NaCl concentration at ≤90mmol•L~(-1) was not significantly comparing with control. However, the control of germination index and germination rate of those seeds etc. treated with NaCl at higher concentration (≥120 mmol•L~(-1)) was swelled evidently. The germination index, the length of roots, the number of side-root, the fresh weight of top, the fresh weight of root and the R/T assumed drop declining trend along with the increase of NaCl concentration.
