Vine Resource and Its Development in Beishan Region of Zhejiang Province

100 species,67 genera and 31 families of vines are found in Beishan region of Zhejiang province by field survey and data examination.The geographic element of the genera can be classified into 12 types and Pantropic and North Temperate are dominant types.The growth habit of vine is mainly high-position bud accounting for 48% of total species.Four types are divided in the climbing pattern and twining and hooking type accounts for 42% and 30% respectively.The paper reviews development and utilization of vine from three aspects of economy,afforestation and ecological recovery to provide a scientific basis for protection and development of vine resource in Beishan region of Zhejiang province.
