Automatically assigning elevation value on topographic map in ArcView

In order to realize assigning elevation value on topographic map in ArcView efficiently.This paper proposed a method using Avenue to realize assigning elevation value automatically.The contour line is the most commonly method of expressing the terrain and it is one of the foundation data model of Geographic Information System.The elevation is the important attribute of the contour line.This article firstly made simple introduction to Avenue,then introduced the basic thought of how to automatically assign elevation value in ArcView.
