Preparation of lactic acid using propenoic acid as a raw material

Lactic acid was successfully synthesized using propenic acid as a raw material through the medium product,α chloropropanoic acid. The results and the processes were discussed. Furthermore, the qualitative and quantitative test methods were designed for every step of the process. This work is expected to provide useful information for its industrialization.
