Mission Planning for Joint Search by Multi-Satellite

Joint search by multi-satellite,as a new application form of earth observation was discussed and its mission planning was researched.Based on analyzing the uncertain factors and the factors' quantitive description method in joint search by multi-satellite,the information reward and the target finding reward in satellite search operation were defined.By combining the information reward and the target finding reward,the closed-loop mission planning model of multi-satellite joint search was established which integrated the retrospective exploitation of observation information and prospective mission planning into a single procedure.The simulation results illustrate that this method can effectively deal with the problem of multi-satellite joint search and the performance is better than random search and uniform coverage search.
