Extracting Topographic Characteristic Line from Contours

Two kinds of methods on extracting topographic characteristic lines from contours are presented,by means of constrained Delaunay TIN,and their computing processes are given.Based on these methods,similarity and difference of the experimental results is discussed,and the reason resulting in these differences is analyzed.
