Non-isothermal thermogravimetric investigation on kinetics of coke gasification with CO_2

Kinetics of coke gasification with CO2 was investigated by non-isothermal thermogravimetry using Setsys Evolution simultaneous thermal analyzer.The results showed that when the gasification temperature is higher than 1 200 K,both of the carbon conversion rate and gasification reaction rate increase significantly.When the gasification temperature reaches about 1 500 K,the gasification reaction rate attains the maximum.According to the correlation coefficients,improved Coats-Redfern integral me-thod is the better method to calculate gasification kinetics parameters.The activation energy of Ansteel coke is greater than that of Baosteel coke.The gasification performance of Baosteel coke is better than that of Ansteel coke with the same particle size.
