Analysis on CLC Index and Retrieval in Sci-technical Periodical Papers

This article introduced steps and principles of indexing Chinese Library Classification(CLC)Number in sci-technical periodical papers. Functions of CLC in indexing paper,searching literature and classified statistics were analyzed. In the paper,the phenomena of both improper indexing of CLC in the papers and the weakening of searching literature with CLC number caused by CLC number's own limitation,poor popularization and inappropriate indexing were discussed. In the end,it pointed out that journal editors should take CLC indexing seriously and study relevant knowledge intensively in order to create conditions for family search and classified statistics of the papers.
