Clinical observation of tetralogy of viable bifidobacterium combined with oryzanol treatment for irritable bowel syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of tetralogy of viable bifidobacterium combined with oryzanol on irritable bowel syndrome.Methods 68 patients with irritable bowel syndrome were divided into observation group and control group,34 cases each group.Both groups were given 50 mg pinaverium bromide orally,three times a day.Control group was given 30 mg oryzanol orally in addition,three times a day.Observation group was given 1.5 g tetralogy of viable bifidobacterium tablets orally,three times a day.Both groups were treated for 12 weeks.Results The total effective rate of observation group and control group were 94.12% and 76.47% respectively,there was significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P0.05).After treatment the clinical gastrointestinal symptom score of both groups were much better(P0.05 or P0.01).And the clinical gastrointestinal symptom score of the observation group was obviously better than that of control group(P0.05).The scores of HAMD and HAMA after treatment of both groups were obviously improved(P0.01).The scores of HAMD and HAMA of observation group were much better than those of control group(P0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of tetralogy of viable bifidobacterium combined with oryzanol in treating irritable bowel syndrome are confirmed,and there are no obvious toxic and side effects.All safety indicators are normal with good tolerance and safety.
