Technology of Controlling the Surface Quality of High-Grade BA Stainless Steel Sheet

The quality characteristics of the bright annealing technique and technological improvement of the BA sheet production were studied.The measured concentration of Cr on 2B and BA sheet surface showed the Chromium-depleted phenomenon on 2B sheet,which indicated that BA sheet should be used for a substrate of stainless steel specular-production in terms of erosion-resistance and workability.As bright annealing is unable to improve the surface roughness,a new processing Pre-polished technology are suggested and practiced,which consists of material pickling,one-pass rolling,material surface-polished and bright cold roll.The pre-polished BA sheet meets the quality standard of specular levels products.
