Dynamic Economic Dispatch of Wind Integrated Power Systems Based on Risk Reserve Constraints

In order to solve the electric power dispatch problems caused by the uncertainty of wind power,economic dispatch of wind-integrated power systems should be investigated.The probabilistic distributions of wind speed and load forecast errors were introduced to describe the uncertainty in power systems,and a novel risk reserve constrained dynamic economic dispatch optimization model with wind power penetration was proposed.The required up and down spinning reserve costs were also included in the objective function,which stands for the costs caused by the risk of shedding load and penalty of wasting energy,respectively.The model was solved by predictor-corrector primal-dual interior point method.Simulation results of a system with ten conventional generators and one wind farm validated the feasibility of the proposed method.Analysis shows that the optimal-economy can be realized when reliability requirement is satisfied.
