Evaluation and Tourism Development of Geological Remains in Chaotian Geopark

The evaluation of geological remains is especially important for the effective protection and rational development of Geopark.On the basis of the confirmation of research extent,this paper classifies the main geological remains in Chaotian Geopark according to type,region,locality,spot of the remains,and conducts qualitative analysis of several important geological remains such as Three Gorges of Jaling River,Longdongbei Cave,Chuandongan Cave,Triassic-Jurassic profile of east bank of Jailing River,Mingyuexia Fauna,and then proposes a strategy for the tourism development and Geopark construction.
