Remote sensing monitory study on the dynamic change of ecological environment in Qinghai Lake area during 25 years

Using MSS satellite image data in 1975 and TM image data in 1987 and 2000 as remote sensing information source, combined with GIS analysis method, we study on the dynamic change rule of ecological environment factors as plantation, sandy desertification land and water area of Qinghai Lake area to provide scientific guidance for the continuable development of resource and environment in Qinghai Lake area.The result is that, in the last 25 years, the acreages of plantation and sandy desertification land increased clearly but water area acreage decreased. At the same time, for the aggravation of soil erosion of rivers around the lake, sand in the bayou of certain rivers filled up more seriously, and the ecological environment got into worsened distinctly.
