Application of 3D GIS technology in section collection

Considering that the conventional way of section collection based on two-dimensional vector data and images with high resolution is not intuitive enough and restricted by data source,3D GIS technology was brought in the paper,and the 3D geographical environment was built by related geographical data source.On this basis,a set of technical process was designed and the 3D section collection software was developed.The practical engineering application showed that the software could not only feed the needs of railway survey and design,but also have visualized,batched section collection and examination ability,which would improve the work efficiency of section collection,and reduce the working strength of interior work.
