Technology of CO_2 sequestration for developing deep coal bed methane in China

CO_2 sequestration is a new and inchoate technology which had been proposed by U.S.A government and used to capture and trap CO_2 in safe and environmental way.China has a large amount of coal bed methane resources,totaled about 116.8×10~(12)m~3.About 50×10~(12)m~3 of the CBM is in the depth of 2000～4 000 m,where requires high development cost and is hard to recovery in recent years.However, CO_2 sequestration technology is a promising method to develop CBM in depth.As we know,CO_2 has a higher adsorbability than CH_4.If CO_2 is injected into coal seam,CH_4 can be replaced by CO_2.By using this technology,we can develop the deeply buried coal bed methane in most of our coal basins.
