The comparative study of the laparoscopic appendectomy and open appendectomy

Objective: To explore the feasibility,superiority and nursing features of the laparoscopic appendectomy(LA) and open appendectomy(OA).Methods: 127 patients who were diagnosed as appendicitis were divided into the two groups:the LA group(55 cases) and the traditional opertion(OA) group(72 cases).The perioperativ nursing data of two groups were compared and analyzed.Results: There was no significant difference in two groups'operation time and costs of hospitalization.However,there was statistical significance in the difference between LA and OA in the amount of bleeding,degree of postoperative pain,anal exhaust,out of bed activity and hospitalization,infection of incision,adhesion ileus and so on(P0.05).Conclusion: The LA is a new procedure to treat appendicitis,which is safe,economic,feasible and has little wound and better cosmetic effect.The nursing care is relatively simple,manpower saving and suitable for hospitals.
