Color Transfer between Images with Two-layer Subtraction Cluster

An automatic color transfer method is proposed.The two-story subtraction cluster is used to divide the color image into a certain number of subsets,through the gray margin histogram extract texture feature of each subsets,the best correspondence between subsets of source and target images is established,then certain larger density pixels are selected in corresponding subset to construct swatch.The color information is transferred between swatches from the matched pixel in source swatch to target one,the final colors are assigned to each pixel of the target image by matching pixel to pixel in the target swatches.The algorithm can be used to transfer color not only between two color images but also between a grey image and a color image.
