The daily feeding rhythms of juvenile yellow catfish, Pelteobagrus fulvidraco at different feeding frequencies

The circadian feeding rhythm for juvenile yellow catfish,Pelteobagrus fulvidracoat different feeding frequencies was investigated.The results showed there are typical nocturnal feeding activity with the highest levels of feeding activity at 20:00 pm and the lowest levels at 8:00 am in the condition of over-feeding 8 times per 24 hours.There are significantly different feeding rate between different feeding time(P0.01).The simility circadian feeding rhythm occurred in the condition of over-feeding only once in different time per 24 h.However,there is no different feeding rate between different feeding time in the latter feeding condition(P0.05).The result showed that the circadian feeding rhythm of juvenile yellow catfish belongs to nocturnal.
