Background/Aims: Not all segments of society might have equal screening access. We determined predictors for regular cardiovascular health screening at baseline; 6-months after access-enhanced intervention; and at 1-year followup in low-socioeconomic-status(SES) communities. Methods: The study population involved all residents aged ≥40 years in two housing precincts comprising owner-occupied housing (high SES) and rental-flats (low SES) in Singapore. Nationally ≥85% own homes. From 2009–2011, residents not regularly screened for hypertension/diabetes/dyslipidaemia were offered free BP and fasting blood glucose/lipid door-to-door monthly over 6 months. Rental-flat residents were followed-up for 1 year. Multi-level logistic-regression identified predictors of regular screening at baseline; Cox-regression identified predictors of screening participation post-intervention and after 1 year. Results: Participation was 78.2% (1081/1383). At baseline, amongst rental-flat residents(n = 577), 41.7% (150/360), 38.8% (177/456), and 30.8% (128/416) had regular hypertension/diabetes/dyslipidaemia screening, respectively; compared with higher numbers in higher-SES. Staying in low-SES areas associated with irregular screening at baseline and lower participation in access-enhanced intervention (aRR = 0.61, CI = 0.37–0.99, p = 0.048), independent of individual-SES. 80.9% (467/577) were followed-up 1-year later; amongst those not regularly screened at baseline, 11.8%(26/221) and 9.6%(21/219) ha...
