The Fragment Assembly System is a series of related programs that help you assemble overlapping fragment sequences as obtained at the lab bench. Specifically, the programs resemble a small databas system that helps you to achieve six major tasks: Entering and storage of sequences in a project database ( method 1 ). Recognition of overlaps ( method 2 ). Manipulation of aligned fragments (this step and all following: method 3 ) Generation and comparison of consensus sequences as determined from aligned fragments. Display and archiving of aligned sequences. Determination of the consensus sequence. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
