Fabrication of Zeolite Hollow Fibers by Coaxial Electrospinning

Ultralong uniform hollow fibers with walls made of zeolite (silicalite-1) nanoparticles have been fabricated for the first time by the coaxial electrospinning technique, followed by removal of the occluded organic species. The zeolite hollow fibers could contain different level of micro-, meso-, and macroporosity depending on the experimental conditions used. The method should be applicable to zeolites of other structure types.
