1 H -1,2,4-Triazole:  An Effective Solvent for Proton-Conducting Electrolytes

We report 1H-1,2,4-triazole as an actived group to enhance proton conduction in liquid electrolytes and in polymer electrolyte membreanes (PEMs). 1H-1,2,4-triazole and PEMs containing 1H-1,2,4-triazole are stable in a wide potential range, implying excellent electrochemical stability under fuel cell operating conditions.
