Spectrophotometric study of the reaction of zinc with cadion 2B in the presence of triton X-100

A highly sensitive colour reaction of zinc with Cadion 2B in the presence of Triton X-100 and its application to the spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of zinc in aluminium alloys is described. The proposed method is simple, rapid and accurate and does not involve heating or extraction.
