Familial concurrence of carotid body tumor and pheochromocytoma

Carotid body tumors and pheochromocytomas originate in paraganglionic tissue. Two cases of concurrent carotid body tumor and pheochromocytoma occurred in a single family. This familial pattern has not been previously described.
