Palladium-Catalyzed Reaction of Aryl Bromides with Dialkylacetylenes to Produce Allenic Compounds

Abstract It has been found that aryl bromides, especially ortho-substituted ones, effectively react with dialkylacetylenes in the presence of a palladium catalyst and an appropriate base to give the corresponding aryl-substituted allenes as the predominant products.
