A multifunctional nanosensor based on silica nanoparticles and biological applications in living cells

A multifunctional nanosensor based on silica nanoparticles has been designed by importing metal binding sites and hydrogen bonds directly attached to the chromophore. It works well in the recognition of Hg(2+), H(2)PO(4)(-), S(2-)via different combination mechanisms, and intracellular imaging.
