Several characteristics of glasses have been measured using ac and dc techniques. The ionic conductivity of isostatically pressed pellets with electrodes was studied as a function of pressing conditions, temperature, and electrolyte thickness. The electrolyte thickness study showed significant electrode/electrolyte contact resistance with polymer sheets, but essentially no contact resistance with pressed powder . Cells containing lithium electrodes showed the importance of using fresh, high purity lithium foil. Galvanic cells, , exhibited OCV of 2.65V at 20°C and 10–15 mA/cm 2 could be drawn for short periods of time with <0.3V polarization (IR‐free) at ambient temperature.
